To acknowledge your employee Mike Werkmeister

I called because the product I bought failed me. I spent $9,000 on a fence and used Olympic stain only to have a horrible discoloration a few months later. I spoke to your representative who was absolutely amazing. He was extremely educated on the matter and enlightened me to things I had no idea about. He was very helpful and patient (because to be honest I was not happy), however after speaking with him I realized that although I dont have the best options to fix the issue, there are options. Just wanted to take time to say Thank you for having such a great employee! Ps.... still not thrilled about what the stain did to my fence but its not the end of the world.

3 years past I purchased considerable quantities of Olympic Maximum !0 year Deck Stain. Now after 3 years I found that it did not protect the wood and the stain no longer adhered to the deck. Now, instead of 10 years of worry free deck maintenance I now have to pay to fix the deck and apply new stain.

User's recommendation: I strongly suggest that all future customers DO NOT PURCHASE Olympic Stain. Furthemore, Olympic Stain is a product of PPG Industries. I suggest that all cosumers be cautious when purchasing PPG Industry Products and perhaps you, the consumer, should look at products mamufactured by companies who can manfacture quality products and stand behind them.

The usual reason for this is either bad preparation and/or a high level of humidity or dampness. You can complain to Olympic---they have a website---but they will deny any responsibility---with good reason.

They cannot control the user or conditions. They just sell the product.

This stain ruined the looks of our deck and hasnt been on a year yet. At first we thought we didnt wait long enough for the deck because that is not so because the landing going in cabin has been there twenty years. Also this is very slick. I want my money back. I bought two 5 gallon cans

Terrible performance from their Olympic max paint

The special deck paint didnt even stand up for one season before the paint started chipping off. I prepared the surface as recommended. It still chipped. After two years, the paint is a total disaster

Warranty

We stained our deck with your product in the summer of 2018. Our deck now looks terrible as alot of the stain has peeled and washed away. Wondering how to get replacement stain to fix this issue under the warranty. I have pictures and receipts for proof. Thank you.

Used Olympic paint for deck

We had our deck painted a week ago with OLYMPIC paint for decks. The result was fine at first but the following day the deck was wet with water. When we tried to walk on it the deck was so slippery it was impossible to walk on it. My dogs slipped and fell and yesterday my daughter slipped and fell on the deck. We took the balance of the can back to Home Depot but they said it was not their responsibility and to contact Olympic. We don't know what to do about the deck since it is now so dangerous to use. We tried to find another product we could use to eliminate how slippery the deck is but were unable to fine one.

Quality probem with Olympic Elite Stain, sealer in one

I have been a faithful user of Olympic red wood stain since l987. It did an excellent job on my red wood fence and held up extremely well, also used again in l995, 2004, and in 2012. However in 2016 went to Lowe's to purchase your red wood stain that was always my choice of stains and was advised that it was discontinued and this new Olympic Elite Navajo Red took its place and is much superior to your old Olympic red wood stain that I've always used. After 3years it started peeling and flaking off, now I have to pay to have it power washed before I can apply any new redwood stain , 41/2 gallons of stain wasted and many hours to bring back to normal
